The concrete didn't stop the rose.

CURRENTLY SERVING TEXAS CLIENTS ONLY

Some of the Most Beautiful Growth Begins in the Hardest Places.

You may have learned how to survive, push through, and keep going even when life felt heavy. But healing asks something different: to slow down, make space for yourself, and discover who you are beyond what you’ve had to endure.

At A Rose That Grew From Concrete, PLLC, you don’t have to arrive with all the answers. Come as you are...with your story, your questions, your strength, and even the parts of yourself you’re still learning to understand.

You’ve grown through the concrete. Now, give yourself permission to bloom.

 Meet
Ashlee Peebles, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | therapist | Founder

Hi, I’m Ashlee.

I believe some of the strongest, most beautiful versions of ourselves are developed in places we never expected to grow.

That belief is at the heart of

A Rose That Grew From Concrete, PLLC.

My journey did not begin with a silver spoon or a perfectly mapped out path. I understand what it means to grow through life, navigate transitions, carry responsibilities, experience setbacks, and still decide that there is more for you.

That perspective follows me into the therapy room.

I’m a Therapist, But I’m Human First!

When you sit across from me, I don’t want you to feel like you have to perform.

You don’t have to know the perfect clinical words. You don’t have to organize your thoughts before you arrive. And you definitely don’t have to pretend everything is okay.

Bring the complicated version.

Bring the “I don’t even know where to start” version.

Bring the version of you that is successful on paper but exhausted behind closed doors.

Bring the version that everyone depends on.

Bring the version that is still trying to figure out who you are becoming.

There is room for all of you here.

Therapy with me is not about sitting silently while you do all the talking and wondering what I’m thinking.

We work together.

There may be laughter. There may be difficult conversations. There may be moments when something finally clicks. And there may be sessions when simply making it through the week was the accomplishment.

All of it counts.

Sometimes growth looks beautiful.

Sometimes it looks uncomfortable.

Sometimes it means letting go.

Sometimes it means choosing yourself.

Education & Professional Credentials

My clinical practice is supported by advanced education, professional licensure, board certification, specialized training, and extensive experience across behavioral health and healthcare settings.

Clinical Experience

My clinical experience spans diverse healthcare and behavioral health settings, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the emotional, social, and practical challenges people face throughout different stages of life. My background includes mental health care, geriatric care, medical social work, pre-operative and surgical care, hospital discharge planning, long-term care, and correctional settings.

This breadth of experience allows me to approach therapy through a whole-person lens, recognizing that mental health does not exist in isolation. Life transitions, relationships, identity, physical health, family dynamics, grief, stress, and our environments can all shape how we experience and navigate life.

WHAT CAN WE WORK THROUGH TOGETHER?

Anxiety & Overthinking

When your mind just won’t turn off. We’ll work together to quiet the constant “what ifs,” understand what fuels your anxiety, and develop healthier ways to respond when worry tries to take over.

🌹

Depression & Feeling Stuck

When you're functioning but don't quite feel like yourself anymore. Therapy can help you understand what’s beneath the heaviness, reconnect with yourself, and begin moving toward a life that feels meaningful again.

Life Transitions

Sometimes life changes before we're emotionally ready for it. Whether you're navigating a new career, relationship changes, divorce, empty nesting, relocation, aging, caregiving, or simply entering a new chapter, you don't have to figure out your next version alone.

🌹

Women’s Issues

For the woman who has spent so much time being everything to everybody that she may have lost sight of herself. Let's explore boundaries, relationships, expectations, self-worth, identity, and what it looks like to finally make room for YOU.

Stress & Burnout

You've been carrying it, handling it, fixing it, and pushing through it—but being capable doesn't mean you aren't tired. We'll work on creating boundaries, managing stress, and finding ways to live without constantly operating on empty.

🌹

Self-Esteem & Personal Growth

Who are you when you're not proving yourself, accomplishing something, or meeting everyone else's expectations? Therapy can help you strengthen your confidence, recognize your worth, and become more intentional about the person you're becoming.

Grief & Loss

Grief isn't limited to losing someone through death. We can grieve relationships, friendships, opportunities, careers, former versions of ourselves, and the life we thought we would have. You deserve space to process what you've lost.

🌹

ADHD & Coping Skills

Your brain may work differently—and that doesn't mean it's working incorrectly. Together, we can explore practical strategies for focus, organization, procrastination, emotional regulation, and creating routines that actually work for YOU.

Relationships

Tired of overgiving, overexplaining, people-pleasing, or repeatedly finding yourself in relationships where your needs come last? Let's identify the patterns, strengthen your boundaries, and redefine what healthy connection looks like for you.

🌹

Boundaries & Codependency

A supportive and affirming space to explore identity, relationships, self-acceptance, life transitions, and the experiences that have shaped how you see yourself. You deserve a therapeutic space where you can show up authentically.

Identity & LGBTQIA+ Concerns

A space where you don’t have to explain, minimize, or hide who you are.

Exploring your identity, navigating relationships, coming out, transitioning, or simply learning how to live more authentically can bring both freedom and challenges. Therapy offers a supportive, affirming space to process those experiences without judgment.

I welcome LGBTQIA+ individuals, including transgender, nonbinary, gender-diverse, and demisexual clients who may be navigating identity, self-acceptance, relationships, family dynamics, life transitions, anxiety, or the pressure of living authentically in spaces that may not always feel accepting.

Here, you are seen as a whole person..not a label. Together, we can strengthen self-acceptance, build confidence, establish healthy boundaries, and create a life that feels true to who you are.

You deserve more than acceptance. You deserve space to bloom as your authentic self. 🌹

🌹

Veterans & Life After Service

Military service can shape your identity long after the uniform comes off. Therapy can provide space to navigate transitions, relationships, stress, purpose, identity, and the challenges that may accompany adjusting to life beyond military service.

Don't see exactly what you're experiencing listed here? That's okay. Every story doesn't fit neatly into a category. Schedule a free consultation and let's talk about what you're experiencing and whether I may be the right therapist to walk alongside you.

What Therapy With Me Looks Like

A Safe Space to Be Real

Come as you are. Therapy is a place where you can speak honestly without feeling like you have to perform, minimize, or have everything figured out.

Insight + Understanding

We will look beyond what is happening on the surface and explore the experiences, patterns, thoughts, and relationships influencing how you feel and respond today.

Challenge + Accountability

Support and accountability can exist in the same space. I will encourage you, but I will also challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you.

Growth + Action

Insight is powerful, but therapy should also help you move forward. Together, we will identify practical ways to apply what you are learning outside of our sessions.
